Alabama Gov. Bob Riley said an emissary for then-Chief Justice Roy Moore asked him to call out the National Guard in 2003 to stop federal marshals from removing Moore's granite Ten Commandments monument and create a showdown with the federal government, according to a story in the Birmingham News.

Wouldn't surprise us a bit. Moore is clearly one rock shy of a full load upstairs.

If he manages to win the GOP nomination for governor, we are going to have some fun with him. If the people of Alabama elect him, get ready for a massive out-migration.

We've already got one dick-tater in Washington. We don't need one here too!
