Magic City Blues Fest September 2

The Magic City Blues Fest will be held September 2 at Sloss Furnaces in downtown Birmingham from noon until 8 p.m. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.


There will be 2 stages and alternate between the main and acoustic stage for 8 hours of non-stop music.

12:00-12:35 The Bluesmasters
12:35-1:05 Dan “Harpdog” Marson and Friends--Ray Reach (keyboards) and Abe Becker (bass)
1:05-1:55 Blue Light Specials
1:55-2:25 Shar-baby
2:25-3:15 Microwave Dave & The Nukes
3:15-3:45 2BLU
3:45-4:45 Mikey Jr. & Stone Cold Blues Band
4:45-5:05 Harpdog and kids
5:05-6:20 Debbie Davies
6:20-6:40 50/50 Raffle - membership prize drawing.
6:40-8:00 Bob Margolin/ Nappy Brown

Buy your tickets on-line and take advantage of the $12 discounted ticket. They will be $15 the day of the show. You can also get them at Ranelli’s Deli and Jim n Nick’s in the 5 Points South area.

Dan “HARPDOG” Marson will be doing a harmonica workshop with kids in the auditorium at Sloss from about 2:30 -4pm. Each child will receive a free harmonica to take home with them. At 4:30pm, all the participants in the workshop will hit the big stage for a short performance. So bring your child out and have Harpdog teach him/her the original alternative music…BLUES!

Bring you lawn chair with you on Sunday as there is no seating in the shed. No coolers allowed!
