ESPN Picks Tim Clark to Win U.S. Open

We don't cover a lot of sports on this Weblog, but the U.S. Open Golf Tournament is one of those events we do follow closely. While we will be providing some live feature coverage of the City Stages Music Fest this weekend, we will also be keeping up some with the U.S. Open.

As of a few minutes ago, the ESPN analysis scientific formula for who will win the U.S. Open this weekend came in. All the pointers lead to Tim Clark, one of our favorite lesser known golfers on the PGA tour.

The best we can tell from the corporate, popup ad-laden ESPN Web site, there is no story up yet about this. So you will have to take our word for it or watch ESPN's television coverage or maybe the Golf Channel.

ESPN does have a page ranking the 156 players in the field here:

Here's Tim Clark's player profile.

You can also search for photos and slide shows on the Yahoo sports news photo page.
